The 2028 U23 Asian Cup serves as the qualifying tournament for the men's football event in the Los Angeles Olympics within the Asian region. The Chinese U23 national team boasts a roster that includes several eligible players from the newly formed Chinese Olympic Team, such as Wang Yudong, Kui Jixin, Mao Weijie, Yi Mulan, He Yiran, Yang Xi, and Peng Xiao, all born between 2005 and 2006. Their familiarity with Antonio suggests they are poised to tackle the more challenging format of the competition.
