In the age of 37, Wu Xi, a participant in the 2010 Guangzhou Asian Games, alongside 29-year-old Zhang Yuning, who represented the nation at the 2018 Jakarta Asian Games, and 26-year-old Zhu Chenjie, who took part in the 2022 Hangzhou Asian Games, all graced the competition as eligible athletes. However, their journeys were truncated as Wu Xi and Zhang Yuning were eliminated in the round of 16, while Zhu Chenjie's team reached only the quarterfinals, ultimately leaving the medal podium untouched.
