The preliminary consultation stage is a standard part of the planning approval process, designed to facilitate dialogue between applicants and planning authorities prior to the formal submission of proposals. These discussions are instrumental in clarifying key planning aspects and offering guidance on relevant policies and requirements. However, such consultations do not guarantee that future formal applications will be approved or endorsed.
